Shady Place Grass Seed

  • Specially designed to produce a quality turf under shady conditions.
  • Maintains a good appearance in drought conditions.
  • An ideal mixture that is slow growing and can be also used for dry soils.
  • Contains chewing's fescue, slender and strong creeping red fescue, hard fescue, smooth-stalked meadow grass and browntop bent.
  • 20 Kg covers up to 400m2 sown at 50 gms/m2.

BS Low Maintenance Grass Seed

  • Our BS Low Maintenance mixture (previously known as Grow Slow) contains slow growing fine grasses.
  • Tolerant of dry, infertile conditions.
  • Contains slender and strong creeping red fescue, hard fescue, smooth-stalked meadow grass, crested dogstail and browntop bent.
  • Mowing height: 20mm or twice per year to approximately 100mm.
  • 20 Kg covers 575m2 sown at 35 gms/m2 or 500m2 if sown at 50 gms/m2.

Eco-Clover (with ryegrass) Seed Mixture

  • This mixture has been developed to reduce input costs for additional fertiliser, water and herbicide.
  • Perennial ryegrass increases wear tolerance producing a dark green hard wearing turf.
  • Inclusion of a small leaved white clover, fixes nitrogen while significantly increasing drought resistance.
  • Mowing height: 13 - 25 mm.

  • The official DOT mixture for roadside use in England and Wales.
  • Includes white clover (helps fix nitrogen for the grasses), amenity perennial ryegrass, strong creeping red fescue, hard fescue, smooth stalked meadow grass and browntop bent.
  • Quick establishment, short growth, good root stability and improves fertility. Will tolerate road salt and exhaust fumes.

BSWF10: Wildflower Meadow & Field Margin

  • An inexpensive mixture to sow large areas with wildflowers or use it in conjunction with one our other wildflower meadow mixtures
  • Wild grasses, legumes and wildflowers form the basis for of this environmentally enhancing mixture, providing a rich habit for insects, birds and small mammals.
  • Contains 8 meadow grass species along with, Black knapweed, Birdsfoot trefoil, Self heal, Ladys bedstraw, Black medic, Red clover, Ox-eye daisy, Yarrow and Sainfoin 
  • Sowing rate  = 40-50kg per hectare. Packsize = 20kg

Heavy Metal Contamination (with ryegrass)

  • Based on native slender creeping red fescue, this mixture can produce a tolerant dense sward on sites contaminated with lead, zinc and copper. Contains: slender creeping red fescue, perennial regrass late tetraploid and yellow trefoil.
  • Perennial ryegrass produces a nurse crop stabilising the surface and allowing the more slow growing durable species to establish.
  • Sowing rate: 10 - 25 gms/m2.

Land Reclamation (with ryegrass)

  • Land reclamation mixture suitable for landfill/quarry sites and spoil heaps.
  • Perennial ryegrass will establish quickly and act as a nurse crop whilst the broad range of species provide excellent tolerance to environmental stresses.
  • Contains: perennial ryegrass (tetraploid), slender red fescue, sheeps and hard fescue, flattened meadow grass, browntop bent, white clover and birdsfoot trefoil.
  • Sowing rate: 10 - 25 gms/m2.
  • Mowing height: Versatile, light grazing or mow as required down to 75mm.
