Produces small, lipped flowers with a purplish-maroon upper lip and a fresh green lower lip. Growing on a stout, square and copper-tinted stem, this robust river-side plant has more to it than meets the eye- it attracts pollinators, and was once prized as a powerful medicinal herb.
