If rainfall is not imminent, it is best to water after application to help the fertiliser be absorbed. How to apply granular lawn fertiliser?
When using granular lawn fertiliser, check the product specifications for the rate of application - as over fertilising can damage your lawn.

Ensure the granules have dissolved/been fully watered in before using the lawn, and wait until the grass is dry again after watering. -

How long does it take for granular lawn fertiliser to work?
Depending on the type of granular lawn fertiliser you use will depend on how quickly it works. After it’s been fully absorbed into the soil, slow-release granular lawn fertiliser should begin to show results within a couple weeks, however fast-release liquid feed will showcase results more quickly.
Can I use liquid and granular lawn feed together?
Yes, you can use them both together and it is often advised to. However, they should be applied at slightly different times and for different purposes to stop your lawn from being overfertilised or burnt. Use granular as your main fertiliser every 6-8 weeks and then liquid feed can be added every 3-4 weeks as a booster. Avoid applying them on the same day and always read the specific application recommendations.
