Wildflower Bulbs 'In The Green' (Spring Planted)

Spring is always an exciting time for gardeners as it’s when much of the colour begins to return to our flower beds. To help you get things going, we stock a wide range of early-flowering wildflower bulbs 'in the green' to plant in Janaury and February, flowering in a matter of weeks from planting! (For bulbs to plant in the autumn, see our autumn-planted wildflower bulbs.)

Planting wildflower bulbs ‘in the green’ is the easiest way to establish some of our most treasured wildflower species, such as Daffodil bulbs and Bluebell bulbs. Planting in the green means planting while the bulb is actively in growth, rather than dormant bulbs that are planted in previous seasons ready for spring.

Many of our spring wildflower bulbs are early flowerers providing a welcome, and necessary, source of food for pollinators. Varieties such as our BS Wild Garlic and BS Double Snowdrop are even marked as ‘Plants for Pollinators’ by the Royal Horticultural Society. This means they’ve been proven to provide a food source for pollinators, such as bees and butterflies, and help tackle their decline.

If you can’t decide just which bulbs are right for you, we have expertly curated collections. The BS Native Woodland collection contains many beautiful varieties that thrive in woodland and shadier areas and will make you feel like you’re in your own magical glade. The BS Wildflower Favourites is a collection of our personal favourite wildflower bulbs. Most of these varieties also spread to create a meadow of wildflowers in no time.

All of our wildflower bulbs are sourced from very carefully selected and trusted growers so we can ensure their high quality. We're certain you'll be as delighted with the quality, fresh wildflower bulbs as we are. Our wildflower spring bulbs are available to order from December to February.
