Selective Weedkiller
Selective weedkillers can be used where manual weeding is not practical. Weeds compete with your lawn for nutrients which can leave your grass with unsightly patchy areas and a serious weed overgrowth problem.
Selective weedkillers kill weeds such as dandelions, clover, plantain and trefoil, but do not harm your grass. The formula is made to specifically kill weeds at their root, so they can’t grow back, whilst leaving your lawn looking luscious and green.

Selective Weedkiller FAQs
What is a selective weedkiller?
Selective weedkillers have been specifically designed to kill weeds while not killing desirable plants like grass. They are ideal for controlling weeds on grass areas where you don’t want to damage the surrounding plants.
How do weeds affect a lawn? How does selective weedkiller help?
Not only do weeds look unsightly, they can damage the quality of your lawn. They use the water and nutrients in the soil, preventing grass from growing efficiently. Weeds can spread quickly, rapidly taking over your lawn or grass areas. Some weeds have deep, strong roots that can disrupt the soil structure, which affects how well grass can grow. Controlling weeds is an important part of maintaining a lush, healthy green lawn.
Selective weedkillers help by tackling the weeds, without affecting the surrounding healthy, desirable grass and plants.
How to use a selective weedkiller?
When using selective weedkiller, we recommend applying it when the weeds are actively growing as this is when the weeds are at their most susceptible. Some weedkillers will need to be applied differently, so make sure to check the back of the specific product you are using for application recommendations.
When should I remove weeds after spraying selective fertiliser?
We recommend waiting a couple of weeks before removing the weeds to allow the weedkiller to do its job correctly and fully penetrate the root, preventing regrowth. If you need to mow, wait at least a couple of days to allow the weedkiller to be absorbed before cutting the grass and weeds.
