When is the best time to plant grass seed?

For the best results, you should plant grass seed when the soil is moist and warm. Between March and October is ideal. How quickly does grass seed grow?

If the conditions are ideal for grass seed, most grass species will start growing around 8 to 10 days after they are initially sown. After 6 to 8 weeks your grass should be fully grown.
