Wildflower Turf FAQs
What is wildflower turf?
Wildflower turf is a mat of pre-grown wildflowers that you lay just like traditional lawn turf. Unlike standard turf, it arrives flat on a pallet—not rolled—and should ideally be laid the same day it’s delivered.
How to lay wildflower turf?
Before laying wildflower turf, make sure the area is clear from debris and vegetation. Cultivate the soil into a fine tilth. Once prepared, lay the turf onto the prepared soil and press down gently to ensure good contact -if laying on a slant make sure to peg the turf. You can cut the turf to size using a knife or saw. Use any offcuts to patch other areas of your garden.
How to look after wildflower turf?
Once installed, wildflower turf needs to be watered for the first 2-3 weeks depending on rainfall. Once established, wildflower turf is low-maintenance, usually needing just one or two cuts per year after the flowers have set seed.
